Dear valued customers and guests of Lucera2 project, greetings!

We are pleased to announce updates to our project that aim to make geodata utilization more flexible and convenient.

Key Changes:

  1. Full Geodata Accessibility: We have made the decision to completely open access to geofiles. You now have the freedom to use this information for your server without restrictions.
  2. New PTS Format: The server will now automatically load geodata in the PTS format with the extension xx_yy_conv.dat. This format ensures more efficient data utilization.
  3. Legacy Format Support: We understand that some of you may still be using the older l2g format. Despite this, it will be supported (deprecated). We recommend transitioning to the new PTS format.
  4. Enhanced Geo Square Loading Mechanism: You now have greater freedom in choosing the format of your geofiles. Configure the GeoFilesPattern parameter according to your preferences to load different formats for your server.

Examples for loading various files:

geodata.properties

GeoFilesPattern = (\\d{2}_\\d{2})(_conv\\.dat|.l2j|.l2g)

- If you have squares like 22_22.l2g, 21_21.l2j, and 20_20_conv.dat, all of them will be loaded and function with the server.

- In case you possess multiple files with the same name, such as 22_22.l2g, 22_22.l2j, and 22_22_conv.dat, only the first geofile will be loaded; the rest will be ignored, as indicated in the logs.

5.Format Selection for Loading: You now have the option to specify a specific format for loading in the geodata.properties file:

- l2g, l2j, PTS any format: GeoFilesPattern = (\\d{2}_\\d{2})(_conv\\.dat|.l2j|.l2g)

- l2g Format: GeoFilesPattern = (\\d{2}_\\d{2})\\.l2g

- l2j Format: GeoFilesPattern = (\\d{2}_\\d{2})\\.l2j

- PTS Format: GeoFilesPattern = (\\d{2}_\\d{2})\\_conv\\.dat

We have attached all the current geofiles, both _conv.dat and .l2j formats, in the customers section. Feel free to use, edit, and complement them without any limitations.

Best regards,

Lucera2 Team
